Objectification of the Body
Within the Creative Studio of Marlou Breuls, the boundaries between fashion, sculpture and body are alienated. Fashion-adjacent sculptures move and transform in a world where time, textile and the human body are unnaturally merged, exchanged and duplicated. As if there is a tear in the thin tissue that blends imagination and reality so that elements of both worlds can merge.
Objectification of the body gives the viewer a glimpse into the transformation of the studio, which distances itself further from the traditional fashon aspect and pushes the boundaries of multidisciplinary design.
